Experience

I am currently working as a private tutor, where I'm teaching math to junior high and high school students. I've always enjoyed teaching and studying math, and while I was a college student, I'd tutor my friends so that they were able to succeed in the classroom. People have always complimented me on my teaching style and how I'd go to great lengths to help my students succeed. I believe that a good tutor is someone who's patient and creates a comfortable learning environment that encourages students to participate in classroom activities. I understand that not everyone loves math like I do. While I believe that everyone does have the ability to excel in math, some people need a little extra time and help to grasp challenging concepts. For this reason, I like to take my time and explain things thoroughly so that my students are able to learn at their own pace. The biggest benefit of learning math with a private tutor is that students don't have to feel pressured to keep up with the teacher's pace. Instead, they can skip past the material they already understand and spend extra time on the more challenging parts. When I'm not teaching, I like to practice the guitar and play soccer with my friends.
